I had 1" spring spacers once with standard shocks with no shock spacers on mt's and a locker in the back and I had no brakages to any thing ever... I hardly had any articulation with my axles and it just went where I pointed it accept when I got stuck in a bog And I went out most nights and every weekend. but I do like going slow over things.
The point I am getting at is that the suspension is not over twisted and used as it was designed to.
I would have Diff locks over axle twist any time.. Had both but do like getting a wheel in the air

you're about right with the mods, but I wouldn't bother with a difflock, thats cheating
Greg
yes but it saves you breaking your radius arms
I don't understand this?
How have you been breaking your radius arms and how will a difflock save you doing so?
Kirkynut
to cut a long story short.... click here
I doubt a difflock would have saved them.

Am now the proud owner of a 2002 Black Jimny. How do you get the centre cover off the spare wheel? It is a brand new tyre on the rim so don't want to lose it. Do Jimny locking wheelnut sets come with 5 locknuts. If not how does everyone else keep there spare secure. Does £80 sound a bit OTT for 5 s/hand steelies? want a spare set to put some A/T's on. there is a nice set of alloys for the road. Ohh, wish I could afford the wheels and tyres. Xmas has come 3 weeks early.

not got a spare wheel cover on ours so have to pass - maybe held on by the locking wheel nut?
suzuki official locking wheel nuts sets are for 5
if you've not got the at/mts then dont rush into buying wheels
you can buy a set of offroad tyres and wheels off places like silverline ready built and balanced for not much difference than buying just the tyres
there will also be offers on at the total offroad show aka "british indoor 4x4 show" in March at Stafford
you can also pick up sets of wheels and offroad tyres on here or ebay
