Hi and welcome to the group. have a read of the discussion about leaking swivel joints in Jimny Technical.

When I bought mine a few years back what happened in the discussion happened to mine and I didnt see it until after I had bought it!

Check theres nothing bent under it due to off roading. If its a soft top, hopefully it will be raining so you can check for leaks in the roof!

also check the boot floor for rust and check for 'wobble' when accelerating steadily upto 50 mph - can be hard to fix
check for any missing at 50-60 mph steady speed (sensor will need replacing)

Put the steering on full lock and have a look behind the wheels - the swivel joints should be nice and dry. When you go for a drive make sure you can engage 4H (wheels straight ahead, below 60mph - the green 4WD should light up solid, not flash). Similarly try 4L, but only when you're stationary!

Ta very much. I went to look at a soft top and decided to leave it and go with a hard top. Just need to sell my car now, or find somewhere to px.
