lift kit help needed was created by sully
Just refurb my wheels for the jim and got the money together for my lift kit but dont really know what to go for.
Do i go for 3 inch lift or 2 inch lift with 1 inch body lift? i use my jim for work everyday but want it for playing aswell heres a pic of a wheel and tyre. The tyre size are 235/75/15 bronco grizzly claws.
Dont really want to trim the car unless i have to. Thanx for any help

I'd say you will need a 3' lift for 235/75/15, a body lift will only help achieve arch clearance.
id go for the following.
www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/jimny-3-/...lift-kit/prod_2.html
www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/jimny-cas...s-arms/prod_442.html
www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/jimny-sta...ke-hoses/prod_3.html
www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/jimny-adj...arm-set/prod_23.html
a body lift is a bit of a pain, bending transfer levers, steering shaft extension.
Keeping costs down is hard and knowing where to stop is even harder, because you will want a rock lobster transfer box or 6.5.1 crawler box then a fitting kit.
If you have loads of money you could go for a full ORA lift kit but still however a good buy.
Even with a 3'' lift a small amount of arch trimming may be required.

I think you will have to trim the front arches for clearance when steering with 235s ( at least I did ) I fitted a 3" lift which was fine until I went off road. I then had to fit a 2" body to provide enough space for flexing. Its now perfect for me. I have removed the anti roll bar and still use it for my shortish comute to work with no problems
