On my 02 soft top the colours are red 56A, red+white56B, white+blue31
The numbers are on the plug that go on to the headlight bulb.
Hope this helps

Thank you! i guess i only need 56A? And should i fuse the + from the battery? theres no fuse in the hella wire kit if so, how many AMPS would it be? there are 2 H3 55w halogenbulbs

I would fuse the + from the battery to be safe. 2x 55w lights at 12v will draw 4.58amps.

You should fit a fuse from the battery to the relay as for the fuse amps I can not help you with this sorry.
Thank you Adamski

Definitely fuse the wire going from battery to relay as close to the battery terminal as possible. 2 x 55 W = 110 W, at 12 V it's around 9.2 amps in total not counting wiring/connector losses. A 10 A fuse should be ok in this case, as both lights are powered by the same cable. If not, use a 15 A one.

To understand better what you're doing there: you're splicing into the existing headlight wiring to control a relay on pins 85/86. When you turn on the beams, they'll switch the relay on allowing current to flow between pins 30 and 87, supplying power to the projectors.

Oops forgot to add the 2 lights together! Good job vaxxi stepped in. 4.58amps per light x2 = 9.2amps.

I should have remembered this as I wired my 4 spot lights in not long ago at a total of just under 20 amps.

Thanks guys! this will do the job!

Is it possible to use the projectors in 2 ways? Seperate with a switch and/or with the original highbeam handle ?

Whatever way you can find to provide a voltage difference to the relay (pins 85/86), it will work. Just take care mixing the wires so you don't burn anything. I will choose a different way though, since I don't like splicing into the vehicle's factory wiring: use the front fog light wiring to control the relay, as it's already in place.
