speedo not working was created by silprops
Hi.
Speedo stopped working some months ago, mechanic assured me that the problem was with the speed sensor. I asked Martin if he knew where I could get one and he told me that speed sensors rarely fail, the problem was more likely to be with wiring. Told the mechanic this, even passed on the diagnostic instructions that Martin sent me. Mechanic was certain that I needed a new speed sensor. Eventually found one (not cheap) and guess what - problem was with wiring!
Moral of this story - take Martins advice before paying for unnecessary parts/labour.
Thanks Martin, you (and other members) provide a wonderful service.

We had an issue with the wiring on our first Jimny ... Brand new, out of the showroom, first drive, we lost the speedo .. took Suzuki 3 months to figure out the dash connecting plug was not fully locked .. and would vibrate loose whilst driving. When you stopped.. it would get a connection .. hence why suzuki could never find the problem
