Right ladies and gentlmen, ive got laying around a spare Suzuki samurai rear diff thats has been welded locked and its also fitted with Vitara ring and pinion, now my question to you is ( and i would it to be this easy ) would it fit in a Jimny, or are the half shafts different, maybe the actual diff carrier its self is different ???? I would go check it against a suzuki Jimny, but i dont pick mine up till tonite ???
Cheers Dan

My understanding is they are different is several ways and not interchangable.

I don't know if they are different, but they both use the same ARB locker which means at least they are similar and use the same size and spline count half shafts.
Probably best to try and see.

The rear diff is the same. The front is smaller than jimnys.
Rear lockright or arb of sami fits jimny and opposite.
Of course only the non vvt models.
