Ive got TJM snorkel to pick up here in Australia tomorrow, $460 AU..................not impressed with price all this cash for peice of plastic!

Thats like £300!

For something that should be in the region of £60! or $90 AU

Alot of the parts are silly prices... and not even brilliantly made

Its easier to just not go in dusty or wet places;)

I had the same idea at the beginning (lots of money for a plastic tube), but it's not like that. Lots of time goes into engineering it, making sure it fits properly, looking nice and being functional (I just found out the role of the small holes at the top of the snorkel head, so yeah I'm impressed). And then, market decides: if it's just one producer of snorkels, he pretty much sets the price :)

If that snorkel had have been one of the 'shorty' ones, it would have shatterd with the first knock.
I had a TJM on my Delica and you can tell that the 'plastic' will give a little and perhaps get gouges in it from anything it rubs against.
The 'shorties' will just shatter as they are quite brittle.
