So whats the plan with rust patches, chop them out and weld a bit in?

Depends..... not 100% sure on MOT rules but iirc rust only matters ( on bodywork ) so many cm from suspention and near seat belts........ could be wrong tho and dont know the entire rules tbh.
Im trying the wife for a mig welder..... but might get a mate from up the road to do it if there too expensive.

Ohhh...... and if its dangerous..... like sharp etc and could cut a pedestrian if you hit them.

Well its getting close to MOT time, so going to take the back seats and panels out, see whats what. Hope it isnt too bad.
