Proper wheel paint is a good choice. I think it's a polyurethane and therefore capable of absorbing small abrasions, stones etc without chipping.

Final stage - spray with lacquer



Here's the paint I used. It's all acrylic and bought off eBay. To paint seven wheels took two full cans of primer, most of two cans of the 5 Wheels Silver, and a can and a bit of the lacquer



And finally, here's one I did earlier...



Not quite good as new (maybe I should have tried some Cillit Bang instead!) but a big improvement. Comments welcome

I did a similar job but used Hammerite satin black instead of silver .

Hey well done there, you should go alot faster now:) small tip, when spraying close one eye and stick your tongue out and dont forget to take deep breaths.:evil:

Here's the wheels fitted on a freshly washed Jimny





Oh and I tried closing one eye and sticking my tongue out when I sprayed the first wheel, but never again - the taste of brush thinners to get the paint off my tongue wasn't the tastiest thing I've ever tried :sick:
