Lift kits was created by Goshawker
Hello guys I could do with a little help. Fitted a 3" lift kit today and the front o/s spring in my kit was about an inch longer than the other side I guess that is because jimny lean. But what I'm concerned about is the fact that the spring is banana shapes whilst all put back together and doesn't look right. Can anybody advise? . Cheers

Hi mate,

Thats is your castor angle been out, to correct this you have a few optoins:

-Fit 3 deg castor correction bushs but it will still be banned just not as much here mine with bushs! fitted no load on them.

-Buy castor corrected front radius arms probably from ORA that are suited to the 3" lift, these are a longer than standard and bring the castor angle back to the factory position.

-Or i don't like this idea but you can move you front diff forward 15mm.

Hello.
Keep your eye on the brake lines, they will be tight. Gets expensive after buying extended springs and shocks!
Panhard Rods x2
Caster correction bushes or castor corrected trailing arms
Extended brake lines x3

Good luck!
My jimny should be getting thrashed around tong today, but its sitting on the drive as it is a LEMON!

I've got correction bushes atm, but i've gone from a 3'lift with correction bushes which was ok, to a 4.5' lift, and now I need correction trailing arms, if my springs were yellow I would be eating them!. But need more pennies 1st.

Any thing over 2inchs of lift castor correction bushs should be used and in my opinion anything over 3 inchs corrected trailing arms need to be used!

P.s. Gary if you had yellow springs why would you be eating them? sorry i don't see the humor in that.

Sorry bad one.
I agree over 3' then corrected arms are needed. There are some 3' correction bushes available, however I don't fancy them.

I'm a using castor correction bushs but as you can see in the pic above 3 deg offset bushs are not enough for a 80mm lift. My castor angle it still out by 1deg from what suzuki recommend i think it is +0.55deg to +1.00 deg mine are currently -0.55 degrees. I will be getting new cromolly front radius are which are 25mm longer than the standard. This will make the castor angle perfect and making the wheels base a little bit longer than factory and will give me slightly more flex to.

Biggaz: they may be for girls but i really don't wont my castor angle to be out by over -3deg from what suzuki recommend, and put unnecessary strain in other suspension components.
