Oooh, blue chrome! That would be magnificent. Possibly not cheap though.

Looking great mate! Why not Raptor it for ease of first paint and repairing the paint after T&S lanes. Albeit you might need some repairs in that after a T&S lane!
I think yellow could work though, depending upon shade. Think G4 Discovery yellow or even BT Yellow.

Yes, I would really like it bright yellow... I already have the paint, it’s ‘JCB Yellow’ agricultural machine enamel.
Having turned the buggy round and thought about the enormity of what’s left to do...
... so realistically I’m not going to make the mid-August trip with the lads...
... so I’m now aiming for the BigJimny Meet in October!

- The other side of the rear of the cab needs boxing in the same as the driver’s side
The passenger door top needs boxing in
The front ‘wing’ and battery / washer mounts need making
The A-pillar tube needs shaping and fitting
The snorkel needs finishing off
The tree wires need finishing off
The doors need new door cards making with door pull handles
The mirror guards need finishing and fitting
The inside needs bed liner
The outside all needs a light sanding and final paint
All the wiring needs doing to the lights
A new clutch needs fitting (noisy thrust bearing)
The engine needs a new radiator, belts, plugs, etc...
A new windscreen needs fitting
MOT Inspection

I'm sure that if you asked nicely you might get takers on a buggy building party. If only we had a vaccine for covid....

Good day in the garage today, achieved what I had in my mind for the day...
I started by cutting a 4"x2" length of rectangular box in half... half for boxing up the rear of the cab, and the other half to be the top of the half-door...
I then cut the other elliptical tube diagonal and welded it in place...
And blended the top into the original soft-top hoop...
A tiny bit of filler to make it erfect, and some paint...
The back of it...
Inside the top...
And the outside, nicely blended in...
Stand back and admire the matching pair
