New boots ... 205/75/r15 general grabber At3.

Also, does anyone know where I can get the centre piece for the spare wheel and what I need to attach it?

There’s two threaded bolts in the middle sticking out already but can’t figure out how it all fits together.

Cheers

Huh, well you learn something new every day. I had just thought the interior update happened at the same time as the front bumper update. Never realised there was a short transition period between the facelifts.

Great choice of tyre. I've got the same on my 06 daily, ~8k hot summer miles on them so far and not showing any signs of wear, the little ridges have gone off the tread blocks, that's about it.

My late, 2005 had the new interior, pushbutton transfer box etc but Mk 1 bumpers. I think most of the 2005 ones are like this. :)

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

Anybody know if this would fit and if so how I would make it?

What else would I need

Cheers

Yes this will fit, all you need is one standard wheel nut. Straight on to one of the studs in the middle of the spare wheel.

On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.

Thanks for the help all.

Sorry for silence, works been mad.

Anyway, got my spare wheel cover and a space for my all important stickers to live....thanks!

Found a hole in the boot, poked about and saw the road. Got it welded up and a new exhaust back box and middle section, also invested in some good rust converter and under seal stone chip, to do the wheel arches and the underbody soon enough. I hate rust. Also made a jimny bed for an upcoming 35 mile running race I’m doing and I need to sleep in it before I start running at midnight! Plenty of room and I’m 6ft!

Hi!

Just been reading about the 5 tyre rotation, few questions, how do I know the tread on my tyres are ok to do this with (general grabber at3) and what mileage between rotations should I leave?

Cheers all

I do a 4 tyre rotation because I have a cheap old tyre on the back door. The principle is the same for 5. On a UK car the near side front is always going to wear fastest because of roundabouts. Because of this if I am beginning a rotation with existing tyres I will measure them thoroughly in several different places and put the tyre with the most tread on the near side front and the least one on the off side rear and run them like that for a while whilst monitoring the tread depth. Once they are something like even then I start the rotation pattern. The frequency of rotation depends on the wear rate of the tyres but with a hard wearing tyre like a bfg I check them every 2 months and rotate every 4 months.

Those tyres are not directional and are fine for rotation patterns.

Thank you, that’s perfect.

I’ve done about 2,500 miles on them so far and thought it’s tine to start thinking of rotation.

Cheers

Yeah that's not unreasonable. I don't know what those will wear like but being a premium tyre they should be fairly tough. When I had Yokohamas or eagle f1 on my Scooby I was rotating every thousand and was getting a minimum of a third more life out of them than some in my crew with similar spec cars.
