Lowering a 1987 Jimny? was created by Rob3rt
I am living in japan and bought a 1987 suzuki jimny. I dont plan on ever taking it off road so i would like to do something different that i havent seen anyone else here in japan do, although theres probably a reason no one has. Anyway i want to lower my jimny 2-3 inches. I was thinking of installing some adjustable coilovers onto it but obviously theres none that i can find jimny specific. So can anyone help me find out how to lower this jimny.

I understand most people wouldnt do this to a jimny, which is why im doing it, so could we not reply with things like why you dont think its a good idea.

Well, since a 1987 Jimny would be what was sold in the rest of the world as a SJ 413 or maybe Samurai it's leaf sprung. If you are capable of fabricating shocktowers and a 3-link / 4-link and put adjustable coilovers in, then you really shouldn't need to ask for help....
And I think the only pictures I ever saw of people crazy enough to lower these things are from Japan. You certainly are in the one place in the world where such knowledge and shops with parts/mechanics for such an undertaking could be found.
