New wheels and tyres have just arrived!

JimnyBits had them on special offer, and I just couldn't resist, partly as it was Bits4Vits' year-end, and I always get myself a little treat at financial year-end... now into it's TENTH year! :woohoo:

Hmmm, they don't look as wide as I'd feared though... they are meant to be 275s but the comparison there is to my existing 235s?



9" ? (un-inflated)



31"s though... so 31" x 9" will be ideal... especially on offset wheels, so get rid of the wheel spacers too...

Will get them mounted and fitted in due course... will need some arch cutting!

Busy week ... but just popped the wheels and tyres round to the local tyre bay (all of 200 yards away!) to have them combined, and balanced... will go back tomorrow and pick them up and take some photos - of course!

Only to say he was looking into it...

I'll see what they measure when they're inflated...

But as said, I'm happy with the width

Those are the same width as my 215 Malatestas, cheap remoulds aren't great!

D'Oh! Went to pick the wheels and tyres up this morning...

They're assembled... but due to the offset bit he can't get them on his balancing machine?!

So instead of £40 he charged me £20... stuck all five assembled wheels and tyres into the GV (four in the back and one on the passenger seat!) and drove 500 yards to another tyre fitting bay...

£15 to balance them, pick them up 10am tomorrow... Result! Saved a fiver on an already cheap cash job :woohoo:

Oh what a pain, suppose you can't complain every tyre place round my way has cameras now and want £18 per tyre to fit!!

Don't forget balancing beads for the future Dave. Adds about a fiver per wheel but equates to no more and will always be balanced no matter what.

I'm looking forward to seeing these wheels. They'll be the Piece de Resistance on your Jimjam! They would look awesome in the same colour silver as your bumper and bodywork though!
