As you will have read I have recently arrived with a 2006 Jimny. I have reshod her with some YOKO AT rubber to replace the perishing OE Bridgestones. At first refill I have we managed 40mpg so I am pretty happy with that. She is off to be waxoiled tomorrow. I don't want to lose the economy, but I would like to make her as capable as she can be within that restriction for the wilds of west Wales.
So the question is where do I start and how far do I take it?
Many thanks

Same here but im the other way port talbot, you want a set of all terrains and a 2" lift just to keep it simple

A standard Jimny on knobbly tyres is an incredibly capable machine. As Tadpole says, see how you get on with it how it is before getting carried away with mods!

im looking into getting some AT's (would love muds but depends on fuel consumption effects so need to do lots more reading into it), then snorkel and wheel spacers.
Good luck, look forward to seeing how you get on!

I would keep just simple if it is also your ride for every day. Just some better tires and max 40mm suspension lift. If want to put a bigger tires then also 40mm on the body, pretty cheap and dont need to do NOTHING except just make your selfs inserts of teflon or nylon. I did them in teflon.
Cheers!
P.S. Put some pics of your ride!
