well its a new season and things are wakening up at the lotty :)

thought these were meant to be round - but still taste nice :cheer:



planted out some leeks



raspberrys are waking up



blackcurrent bushes are bursting into life



strawberrys getting ready to wake up



these ones will be ready earlier ;)



hanging baskets for the house started



time to let her out the shed :S

has i have just signed for my lotty (my first)
just waiting on the council to mark out my plot aprox 35M x 12M :silly:
never grew anything before maybe asking some questions soon if thats ok Halford

that's a decent sized plot Jack, mines's only 25m

anything I can help with give me a shout,

mine has to be raised beds as path level floods out - wastes load of space, but is the only way to go in this situation.

start looking to get some ready grown plants, sprouts, sweetcorn etc - you can pick them now and for the next couple of weeks at local nurseries (or give your lotty neighbors an shout - everyone likes to help each other out) so you can get them in when you get the plot, could also get some main-crop potatoes to chit and have ready to plant.

this means you'll get something for your first season, then simply spend time plotting and planning - worth it to get the site just how you want it.
