FishPi

Hello,

I've been rather quiet of late, mostly due to the Jimny being off road because at the moment I can't afford to run it (two houses on the go), anyway I'm not one to sit on my arse (for too long), and so I have been busy....

I’ve just launched a project called FishPi, its an autonomous solar craft, designed to cross oceans. I’ve launched on a crowd funding site to help with the monies. The project page is indiegogo.com/fishpi or if you want the website site its fishpi.org .

any help you can all bring would be great, even if its just moral support, ideas or suggestions, anything really, including a kick up the arse when I get a bit lazy.

nice, ive always wanted to do something like that, automated crossings, what would be your plan when it went dark, would it sit idle until the sun comes out?

well the plan is to use batteries as ballast, if there is enough power stored then it could run continuously. it really depends on the available sunlight to charge the batteries and power the motor.

simply put you cant, but you can program the navigation to avoid known shipping routes . plus the hull will be designed for some abuse. however I'm hoping that should such an encounter occur the fishpi is simply pushed out the way by the bow wave.
