Something has stripped out the EXIF information from the photo. Could you send me the original direct so I can see if it was there in the first place.

Try as I might Martin, I can't get the passwords shared across the devices... I just don't use my phone for the internet and getting the password from the MacBook to the iPhone is beyond me.....

Batted them across on messenger... hope you don't mind.

It looks like something to do with one of your systems removing the Exif information from the photo. The raw image you sent via messenger had all the information in it, including orientation. The image uploaded from your MacBook has the Exif removed, including the orientation.

I don't know Macs very well, can someone else step in with an answer?

Thanks Martin, I'll try and find someone who knows what an exif is and why I'm losing them.....

Exif is "hidden" data that the camera adds into the picture. Information such as date, time, shutter speed, location etc.

Some software has settings to remove some of this data as it is considered personal (ie. location). When uploading to the internet, some software removes all this data.

It is often a setting in the software to remove some or all the data.
