I also think that on and off it has suddenly gone slow recently. Nothing particular in the logs to show why.
At this very moment (13:58 - Tues 13th) there is some remote diagnosis going on of a completely unrelated issue so that may be affecting performance.

There looks like continuous attempts to access the system showing in one of the logs. I have added some firewall rules to see what happens
