Repaint it with a U-Pol Raptor polyurethane paint in a very coarse texture.

Example on a Land Rover Defender:

so after talking to some very nice members and advice we are going to start a subtle alteration to make out jimny
look a bit better than a shopping bus

so we have ordered some BFG all terrain tyres
now persuaded wife to get rid of the running boards
my next question is I cant seem to find any fitting instructions on net work to un fit them how hard is it and could I have any problems

don't want to start trying to un bolt stuff then been stuck with jeep on drive ringing round for help
picture of our jeep at beginning of this post any help please thanks john

It will depend on the specific manufacturer but is probably some kind of expandable bung into one of the round chassis cross members and either a strap round the chassis rail or a spigot that uses a body mount bolt. Whichever way it should just be nuts and bolts and at 2 years old they shouldn't be corroded in place.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

thanks lambert
the bung does this then remove from the chassis and the hole is this just left open
sorry for not understanding I think its because I have not seen any diagrams or understand the fitment and chassis layout
I am sure it will be a easy sort
been in so many positions before taking stuff off cars etc and been stuck better doing your homework thanks john
