we have only had the jimny adventure a week and both love it we used to have a Landy 90 20 years ago but this is better
the only thing at present its bog standard and looks a little like a shopping car
we want to look at making the car more meaner
so can I have advice on some starters without going overboard and nothing that's too technical thanks john

Please be aware that my own personal likes / dislike are driving my suggestion s, so please don't be offended if it's something you like.
For me get ride of the running boards. They just don't look correct and lower the stance of the vehicle.
Consider having the lower plastics colour matched.
Fit a Jimnybits or similar Adventure roof rack.
Few starting suggestions.

I would go full retard, and paint teeth on the grill, and then add horns to the roof.
Gotta be honest, i think it looks fab as it is bud.

I'm with Scimike - lose those running boards - they're simply just wrong!
I think the 'meanest' looking Jimny's are those that have been given a slight lift - even a 2" lift helps the looks of these vehicles, and as I understand it is easy to do, and won't break the bank.
I also understand that a 2" lift shouldn't have any serious detrimental effect on handling.
I'm not clear if 2" involves changing the flexible brake-hoses or not but there will be others here that will guide you down this route should you choose to take it.
Some folk fit a snorkel which makes it look interesting and a bit business-like but its not a hugely cheap option and involves accurately cutting a hole in the side of the wing.
Good luck whatever you choose to do!
...But please - lose the running boards!

what's a 2 inch lift consist of
ie new springs shockers or is it spacers
also mentioned tyres what would fit
how wide can you go without scraping body work or to look good
or do you need to lift it as well to go wider please can you explain and where to get the stuff from
can you contact a company and say this is what I want to do and get all the parts in one go
also will wider tyres fit on the rims I have
sorry so many questions but I am so excited with getting stuff done but not much knowledge so may have to have work done at a garage thanks john

Personally I would loose the side steps and the roof rails and because it isn't as easy as on the pre face lift I would get the front S badge wrapped in black instead of moving it to one side. I would suggest that unless you absolutely have to for practical off road reasons, there's no benefit whatever from lifting the suspension.

ok so up to now the main things easy stuff are tyres and running boards
I don't mind the cost so what's a nice / good set of terrain tyres to get
without lifting the car and will fit my wheels
if I am spending money on tyres then biggest and best I get for standard setup
so make sizes will be appreciated also you may no supplier
thanks john

Tyres like navels. Everyone has one and theirs is best. For suppliers I would recommend Camskill for mail order.
