Drove it straight from the dealers to my mates garage where lift kit/wheels/tyres/brake lines were waiting. TBH the bumper and snorkel had to ship from Australia so wernt fitted for a few weeks after. Ripped a plastic sill cover off on the first days laning the next day lol.
I bought it to modify, I'd had two cars before and wanted to go down to one so wasnt too bad, dealer couldnt believe the state of it when it went in for its first service though...
Stupidly sold it couple of years later but managed to buy it back a year or two ago, guy had had it a few years and only put 7000 miles on the clock, so its only done 35k now.
Looks like 200k though... got a few dints....

Pic one day old:

Wow! I'm impressed! And I thought you were joking!

The plan is to upgrade as soon as I can raise the cash, then DO THINGS TO IT.

She who must be obeyed says I'm obsessed, but you could be obsessed with a lot worse things!

(upgrade to a newer Jim of course)

Its a slippery slope.... tbh these days its hard enough keeping it on the road, it eats bearings and bushes despite only doing 3-4000 miles a year. Just had to replace my rocklobster transfer box after nearly 10 years under the car, it was a horrible state when I took it out.
Heres what we get up to these days: Sunday 22nd Feb 2015

I think my advice is either just put 195/80 muds and a lockright on it and it'll go nearly anywhere, or realise that as soon as you start modding it it will be worth nothing at all and become a money pit and you will keep it forever. First option means you can put std wheels and diff back in, polish it well and sell as a std car easily, once its modded it has a limited number of people that would buy it and is actually worth less than a standard car despite the modifications.
