Dave (bits4vits) now does a full "budget" lift ie Spring spacers, front shock extensions and martins rear shock locators. Exactly what i'm now running but yet to try it in anger, potentially the next time will be at Wagtail.
Its brilliant value for money imo, i use mine mainly on the road but its given that bit more room to run slightly taller tyres. The rear shock extensions will never be redundant though if you upgrade your lift in the future, they're a great mod and have improved how the rear flexes. I've had mine at full flex and i've not experienced any problems with the brake lines either.
As for the chequer plate sill covers could you not get a local firm to powder coat them?

Seems to be more people using the bits4vits spacers than nofear jobs, I found them by chance on fleabay and they were a similar price. It's mainly road use for mine as well, but a bit more space in the arches when it does go off road would be handy- The Toyos don't have particularly aggressive tread but they get VERY close to the back of the front arches / sill with the steering turned and the suspenison compressed
If the spacers stiffen it up a bit that's a bonus as I suppose it'll compensate for it being a bit higher, thanks for the feedback folks that budget lift kit sounds promising.
Slightly bigger version of the avatar pic Halford , after its 2nd wash of the year :S
The sill covers are just curved metal than replace the plastic side skirts and sit higher and flush, pinched a picture of blackjims as only one I could find where you can see them clearly
It's a bit of a mess if you just take the plastic off and it would still leave the bit at the back of the front arches that is close to the tyres, can just about see it on this one. Odd they left it like that, the rest of it looks well done
The KAP ones aren't that expensive so I probably will go for them and just have them finished in black.

We bought one of the powdercoat magic DIY powder coationg kits at a show about 4 years ago and have used it ion rocker covers and under bonnet brackets etc also made some wing protectors and indicator / side light mounting plates out of the small weave checker plate with good results. After almost 4 years use it is just starting to peel at edges which I reckon is as good as the commercial stuff, worth a look

I've no experience of the no fear stuff but i can vouch for the quality of the bits4vits/bigjimny parts.
In terms of the harder ride i've posted on here before about it, the on road ride is improved by it being firmer but off road it is terrible and bounces all over the show, i would recommend if you are going down the route of spring spacers do it as part of daves kit as he's tailored it to match and the front extensions are bushed with new poly bushes. I then cut the stock bushes to fit the rear shock extensions.
