Don't know if alloys are your thing, but spotted these on benjyalloys.co.uk tonight for £250 with 217/75 15 camac muds, not that I'm trying to encourage you I was going to go for the same wheels off fleabay before getting the modulars but it was 4 bare wheels for the same price.

The fogs found a new home with the original wheels I'm afraid or you'd have been welcome to them, sorry matey.

- they will fall off due to potholes in the road
- they will get nicked by night friendlies
Here's another idea for mounting them; it looks more difficult as DIY because of the metal bending involved and didn't found a way to order the mounts unfortunately. But it's an interesting idea nonetheless:

Not too many thieving torags round here ( famous last words ! ) but pot holes are something we have lots off too, not entirely sure when the road tax money goes...
Those brackets look the part, only problem I have is I dont have the equipment to bend metal, particularly steel, much over 2/3mm thick to any reasonable standard I had a look at some of the rally prep sites and found plenty two up / two down type brackets but they're either for mk1/2 Ford Escorts or universal - meaning they're universal in that they don't fit anything properly
Seriously considering just drilling the front of the bonnet - it'll never be put back to standard so it wouldn't really matter - and just mounting them straight on.

That might actually be the best solution. Although I'm wary of drilling holes in the body

I'd quite like to stick with my steelies (i hear good things!). Although they need a good refurb ! I've considered painting them black (like yours) but I'm not sure how they'll look against the dark green body work.
Those tyres look like a bargain, but im not sure if that spec will fit my Jimny - being non lifted etc..?
I'll have to look into it. Thanks though ! - also no worries about the fogs. Thanks again.

If you got a facelift the 215/75 won't go straight on with out trimming the front bumper, pre-facelift will be OK going by all the posts about it - I found out the hard way they don't on the newer Jimny because of the facelift bumper being lower and it seems to be a bit deeper. Biggaz got his KM2's / modulars on no problem before it was lifted, this one's stock on 215/75 AT's

Still to suss how to attach stabilisers as there's a little bit of wobble still. And replace the exhaust as it turned out to be as rusty as the Titanic when I cut the back bumper down good excuse for a stainless job Sill covers next to be trimmed but I need to suss how to cover the holes it'll leave, KAP sill covers would do but I'm not a fan of checker plate. And get the steering damper on...
Undecided on how to lift it yet - nofearzukes +2 spacers with correction bushes or bits4vits spacers and not bother with castor correction. Any feedback on either appreciated !

Any chance of a pic further out - like your avatar
look forward to following you lift choice progress, what's your plan with the sill covers - are you putting sliders on ?
only jobs left on the Dog Taxi are internal rear door storage, tints/sunstrip and underbody treatment/painting - then it's waiting a few years until switching to third party insurance and going all-out for inches and armour.
