Wouldn't it be nice if the world were really that way?

First, let me start by saying, that whilst I would have avoided the comment on honesty, I share your sentiments - yesterday, I had to restrain myself from pointing out to this user that whilst he might not drive at high speeds, the forces of the "collision impact" are determined by the combined speed of both vehicles.
In the last few years I've lost good friends to road accidents, they weren't driving at high speeds, they weren't driving drunk, but the other party was.
I've been moderating forums for probably over two decades now, some automotive oriented, some computer tech oriented and there can be very thin lines between being genuinely helpful, and helping people get themselves deeper into trouble. Folks just don't want to be guided down the right path, they want to be told how to do what they want to do, and who are we to decide what is the right path for them.

I humbly suggest to others on the forum that it is not in your own best interest to help people cover up mechanical, structural, or safety problems on used cars. Think about what you are doing.

73910-78R50-5PK is the appropriate LHD part that I have now bothered to pull up, which is more effort than I would normally apply (given where I live I only keep copies of RHD relevant parts listings at hand).
You still also potentially hit the issue where the car is unhappy without the module being re-coded even if you do replace it with a new one or with a used one, irrespective of the speed you drive at.

So the difficult reality here is that the gap in the dashboard to be filled is only going to 'look normal' with the airbag replaced, because the panel that's missing is part of the airbag. It's not a separate piece.Thank you. Tbh, I only want the dashboard to look normal again. If you know of any other advice, i would greatly appreciate it. I don't have any laws about needing the airbag system to work, nor do i drive at high speeds in the bahamas. And my jb74 is a LHD

I think some valid points are being made here, HOWEVER, I am not impressed with being facetious and sarcastic to make those points. Be open and straight forward but at the same time be respectful and polite. This will now be locked.
