If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

join the 2 wires that go to the vacuum switch together, don't forget to plug the vacuum tapping on the inlet manifold.
Or just plug the rubber pipes that go down to the axle.

Thanks Facade,
I have already removed every link of vacuum pipe from the car (got SJ axles on my car) and have already plugged up vacuum pipe hole on inlet manifold. Will join wires on switch as you suggest
