Get Me Home Lights was created by Thordale
Hi there.
I recently bought a Jimny Attitude 2023.  I love it.

A little question: The book (more like tome) says it has (if equipped) a Get Me Home Light.  How do I know if it does or doesn't?  I tried to set it, with no success, which is sad as it would be a very useful feature.

Anyone got any ideas?  Many thanks.

I see it in the settings menu on my SZ5. Have tried changing it. But have never seen anything happen.

It is in the settings menu for the SZ5, but doesn't actually work, but the 'guide to car' or whatever it is called does when using the fob to unlock the car.

I find it a very useful facility and have it enabled on all my cars

I think I will make a short video this weekend on how to enable it.

Always thought "follow me home" lights were ones that came on when you steer the car, to light up that corner ( like the mechanical ones on the DS)

Sent them in the menu.
According to my owners manual

1 Night time or dark enough for auto headlights to turn on
2 Turn lights to Auto
3 Park Jimny
4 As you exit, pull the light stalk to flash high beam
5 Lock Jimny.
6 Headlights stay on for a few seconds to "guide you home"

Interesting as it seems to do the same thing just by having lights set to auto and locking the Jimny.

@gv42 That is turn assist lights, usually the fog light is used which I presume does nothing to help the driver see any better.

That would be great Martin. I can’t make the function work on mine either, so a video would definitely help.

Well that's interesting! Went out to the car tonight, pushed the open door button and the h/lamps came on . They stayed on for 10 seconds and then went out. I checked the h/lamp switch and it was set to auto - don't ask. Now I never set the ECU to do this so I must assume the dealership did it before handover as I do not - I said don't ask - have the switch set for auto.
