Wheel spacers was created by Zaskar97
Good evening, I have a gen 3 with 215 maxis worm drives and a 40mm old man emu lift kit.
I have been offered a set of wheel spacers, does anyone know if they will fit ok?
regards
Steve

Wether they fit or not I wouldn't bother. Spacers are bad for wheel bearing life expectancy and steering geometry and kingpin bearings and don't do anything meaningful in return.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

And if you sell your current wheels, and buy used with the offset you want/need there is most likely no cost involved other than moving tyres over to the correct wheels.

Will fit fine on rear you may or may not get a little rub on the front
ask if you can try before you buy
stick one or both fronts on and reverse with full lock on
up a curb or incline trying full lock both ways

Who knows whether they will fit or not?? The key question is whether the PCD of the spacers matches the PCD of the Jimny.

And as Lambert says, they mean you will put extra strain on the wheel bearings.

They are big jimny ones. Still in the box labelled up, so I think they should fit.

What do you want to achieve? Spacers will move the rims outboard, exactly the same as running deep dish rims. In theory a wider stance can offer more sideslope stability. They can also potentially allow more steering lock and maybe less rubbing in some areas or allow more room for a wider tyre.

Downsides are going to be potential rubbing in other places. More bump steer. More risk of steering wobble. And increased wear as mentioned by others above.

I run spacers on the front of my Land Rover as I can get full steering lock with fatter tyres. Which is good for competitions. So it is a worthwhile trade off on a vehicle that does relatively low annual mileage.

I don’t however run spacers on my Jimny as there isn’t really the benefits of it. So it comes down to what you want to achieve really.

Apologies, my mistake. The guy said big jimny initially but had another look at them and they are black raptor.
After reading all the advice on here I will give them a miss.
Thanks everyone for the advice.
