I don't know (I seem to remember 12mm but could be wrong) but I have been thinking I need to flush mine, so if you find out please let me know.
I assume you just disconnect the flexible pipes in the engine bay and force a bit of water through until it comes clear?

It's been a while since I had the one in dreadnought changed but I want to say it was about 8 to 10mm but I'm not sure.

dont forget to turn the cabin setting to heat to open the valves, also flush both ways.

The matrix pipes stick out the front of the bulkhead just behind the engine. Two rubber hoses attach directly to it. You could take a Vernier caliper to them and measure. However, I'm not a fan of throwing stuff out, I have my old matrix in the garage here. The outside diameter is 14mm on my old one which I expect is factory fitted.
