On my gen3 the front fog lights don't have a repeat warning light and the rears are just a small light on the switch. There's nothing on the instrument cluster.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

On the Jimny, at least on the post-2005 dashboard, you only have a dash light for the high beam, everything else is missing. Interestingly on the instrument panel there is a spot for the rear fog light, it is not wired either on the car side or on the PCB side. I suspect it is a similar story for the earlier dashboard.
For the fog lights, you should have a light on the actual switch, but maybe there are multiple types of switches for the front lights, I have a confirmation light on the front fog lights switch

It's part of the charm of the jimny , it's old Skool , no warning lights that aren't needed except engine management , which like most cars will lie anyway!
If the dashboard is lit up your lights are on , because you put them on.
The fog light warning lights are on the switches and will only work with headlamps on, like the legal requirement . If you operate main beam the fog lights will / should go off and you shouldnt need both legally , so it was on early Jimnys anyway .
( The front fogs maybe won't come on although the switch and warning light say they are ...I've found this is common as all 3 of mine are so ...bulbs are fine but I'm not stripping the loom back to find where the issue is "..though could be the relay.)

I am not sure if the Jimny does it but if it is really foggy or snowing hard and you are out in the sticks (no streetlights or cars) side lights and front fog lights give me a better view at slow speed. I find the dipped headlights give too much glare.

If I am in traffic you don’t need front fog lights, I switch them off as well as rear fog lights they just blind other drivers, but switch them back on when the traffic thins.
