Gen4 Intermittent Rear Wiper was created by Soeley
This is probably a long shot, but worth asking.
The Gen4 does not come with variable intermittent front wipers and the rear wiper is either on or off. A quick and simple Mod is to swap the whole stalk for one from a 2017 onwards Swift or similar, and that gives you a variable front wiper. However even though the Swift stalk has an intermittent mode for the rear wiper, this has no effect on the Gen4.
I was wondering if comparing wiring diagrams for a 2017 swift and Gen4 would highlight a difference, could it be as simple as adding a wire from the stalk connector to the wiper motor fix this, or simply swapping the rear motor for a swift one (if it will fit).
Any body got any diagrams that could shed any light on this?
To me having the rear wiper on constant seems daft, by default intermittent would have been better.

I have been told the rear wiper is controlled by the bcm (body control module) so more difficult to hack something together.

Are you RM on Suzuki Jimny JB74 UK, just something similar was said on there, but not a clue what the BCM is?

Think it's the body control module - part of the car's brain.

You could install a delay unit in the live feed to the rear wiper, it could go in the rear door.

Rear wiper on Jimny is good, old fashioned wiring.
Rear wiper on Swift is BCM controlled.
Just sorting with the guys on the facebook forum a simple solution.
