I think your probably right tbh I dont let to lane as much as I would like and it's my daily so I just thought it might be a bit of a cheaper option to just have a second set of boots I can chuck on when I do get out rather than the gearing/diff swap route. Failingbthatbi could just get good at driving instead

What parts of the country do you lane in, up here having little mud and mostly rocky trails they would be ideal though on Salisbury plains they would be a liability?

I'm in Hampshire so out on Salisbury and tight rooty lanes

Just thought I'd add to this and show you what I went for in the end I got hold of a set of rims and cleaned them up and fitted these tires there the cheaper end of the spectrum but should do me just fine.
