Exhaust Question

Exhaust Question was created by 2013gary
Hi everyone,

My backbox snapped off after the pipe rusted through and QwikFit wanted £170 to supply and fit a new one, so I decided to have a go myself instead.

As I've had to cut the old rusty clamp and a small amount of the midsection pipe off, the diameter of both remaining pieces is now the same. Is there a way to clamp them together or do I need to get it welded? I did buy a clamp with the exhaust but it's completely different to what the old one looks like.

I've attached a picture to show what I mean.

Apologies for the noob question - I've never changed any part of an exhaust before.

Gary

He's right. Paying for someone to weld an exhaust is prohibitively expensive for what it is.
