2000 jimny workshop manual was created by nsangste
Hi,
Looks like my sons 2000 jimny has a blown head gasket.
Is this easy enough to do, would like a workshop manual so as to know how to do it properly with setting timing etc.
And if valve clearences can be set manual.
He loves his wee jimny, so would like to get her fixed up.

Regards, Neil

There's a sticky post in the technical section that may be of assistance.

Any idea what engine he has, as I am away on business just now and no access to vehicle.
Also has anybody done this, and how is it to do, do you need special tools etc
Cheers

As far as I am aware it is probably a g13b or single cam.

Thing is that the Jimny isn't usually troubled with head gaskets not like a rover k series, I'm sure someone will have done this but it's not an every day occurrence.

Sounds ominous. Unless it's just a bit of steam, they can be quite good at steaming if left for a while.
