I have a few on my classic cars and have worked in Halfords so had the chance to compare the various makes. I have even had to remove one with a saw when I lost the key, so note from this they can be removed if you are determined.
The best in the ones I have and also compared is disklock, unfortunately it's also the most expensive.
This like is just so you can see one, it may not be the size for the new Jimny.
www.amazon.co.uk/Disklok-Steering-Securi...proved/dp/B00SLB6WXE
Pro
The most secure
Large visible deterrent
Various sizes to fit wheel
Cons
If a heavy lump of metal in the car
Can be a fiddle to fit
It's expensive
Nothing will stop them if they want it. Sensible parking and common sense is your best defence, this is second.

Thanks for the reply...
That looks a right tank! Very sturdy looking thing.
Your so right, its about a few things I suppose:
- Deterrence, hence the look of the lock is a big factor
- Time it takes to break the lock if an attack came about.
- Where its parked. / Day or night /CCTV around
Thanks for the recommendation, i'm going to Halfords this morning. I'll take some pictures of whats on offer.

Just ask them to open the boxes so you can compare construction etc. Have fun.

I also have a disklok as a hangover from owning a defender. They are only a deterrent to the opportunist and will not withstand a sustained attack. Think of it as part of a layered approach with other systems to compliment it. Oh and I hate using it. It's too numb and awkward.

Disklok is chunky but a well made piece of kit, always recommended in the Ford focus ST scene to help stop them being stolen. Trouble is people want a steering wheel lock to be light and easy to take off etc.........
So do the criminals that steal the cars
