Management have a purchase order request in for 2 pairs simply because if nothing else it will take a lot of pain out of doing waxoyle on the fleet.

Axle stands lately scare the bejusus out of me. I replaced a viscous coupling on a Freelander earlier this year and had all wheels off the ground on four stands (needed the wheels to rotate) and hated being under there.
Why not try some ramps or even some jacking ramps?
I have a regular size creeper which suits my size but then I am only 6' 1" though I once had a Silverline creeper which was short compared to others.
Honestly i find ramps to be more of a concern than stands especially the way they can skitter away as you try to drive up them. Not for me.

Yeah agreed though I have a set with run ups which prevents that. I have a low set too which are easier to run onto.
I've even run straight off the end too. So I jack the car and slip ramps under, getting the car off is easy though.
Once on ramps I feel happier being underneath. Nonetheless I do use stands a lot, they just worry me.
