I'll probably hold off until the spring to fit it mind you as I don't want the car off the road until the possibility of snow has gone

Wouldn't it be good if Suzuki made Jimnys with a 1.6 in the first place!

Thanks Gaz can't wait I'm trying to work out exactly what I need to do to the oil filter screw.... Can it not use use the liana filter or is it a remote one?

The Jimny filter screws horizontal up against the block on the threaded tube and the liana filter is vertical onto a mounting which is fixed to the block. These are both different ways due to the room you have , from what I can rememberminibbb wrote:

Ok so it's still not a rocket ship but there is much more toque lower down and you get far more out of each gear before you have to change up. The conversation cost me about £440 all in including the engine (£175) gaskets and bits from Suzuki, new oil/filter and labour cost.
Very happy overall! My 118k car now has an engine is with 85k on the clock too so I think it was a good longer term investment as well as being much nicer to drive now
