Fitted EBC discs and Green stuff pads to the front.
The drivers side was covered in dust and muck and the sliders were stuck, as was the slider bolts and calliper holder, so took 2 hours. The passenger side was much cleaner, nothing stuck so only took an hour.
After reading a post on here I removed all of the sliders, cleaned them up and applied Silicone grease, they were super smooth when finished.
The drivers side disc was definitely on the way out on the back
The passenger side was OK as were the pads on both sides.
A road test to bed them in showed nice progressive braking with a lot more power than I can ever remember.

Today I have mostly been getting a new mot. Advised on pad wear but new ebc should be here tomorrow and also Advised that tyres have minor cracks. Otherwise everything is peaches and cream.

After a year of greatness, not a single issue, took Jimny for MOT today... yesterday a rear brake light blew, 2 oil leaks appeared after a 3hr "cleansing" run, and this morning the abs warning light came on. What the.....???..... MoT found:. sump leaking and now needs replacing and I have corroded power steering pipe that also started to leak and also needs replacing. ABS light stayed off so that gremlin hid for a while. £50 MoT looking at costing a small fortune. Not a good day.

My gf bought a key refreshing kit from some online tat bazaar (eBay or Amazon) to cure the usual issue of the stripped screw in the key fob. Drilled off the head of the old screw and got the stub out with molegrips. Absurd quantity of Loctite on it.
Anyway, the new parts were (predictably) so badly made that only the new screw and the front cover actually fitted. At least it's easy to change the battery now.

Not today, but last weekend I had four new Cooper Discoverer AT3 sport2 tyres fitted. Unfortunately I’d ordered them a week too late, the previous week we’d had more than 15cm of snow in our area here in Belgium, but hey-ho.
The tyres that were on the car when I bought it nearly two years ago were Michelin Latitude Tour’s, which are basically an on road tyre, though they were marked M+S, but the previous owner, who’d had the car from new in 2005 never did any kind of off-roading.
Apart from that, the Michelin’s were made in early 2011 and although there was plenty of tread, it was time for them to go.
The Cooper’s offer a much softer ride, obviously because of the deeper tread and I have found no significant increase in road noise.
