Well, in the three weeks since we bought our Jimny we've done over 700 miles.
l've sprayed the underside with a clear rust preventing product
Fitted clear side indicators, a boot mat, and ordered the rear speaker kit.
Weather's too bad to do much at the moment except drive it though.

I took some pics of the underside and inside the wheel arches to check out the rust situation as I plan on making it look beautiful again! (will start separate topic).

A nice little ride up a local track in Swansea before it closed (seasonal byway).

Got very hairy after this point. Rain set in, clouds came over and it got dark. Ended up going through water which was over the bonnet by the end of the track - a little unexpected! The Jimny handled it with ease.

Had to put the tyre pressure up on the back of Dreadnaught today. Why?

Because

I assume the nose weight of your trailer may have something to do with it.
Now there's an interesting point ( if you are a farmer that is ) why don't Suzuki et-al add to the door post tyre pressure idiogram one representing a fully laden 4 wheel sheep and cattle transporter.

That would be useful. The 12ft is actually really well balanced unless you deliberately upset it. It's also a bit big for Dreadnaught, it would have a payload of 200kg on the road if I ever went out with it. However I do have a decent drive with my little twin loaded up tomorrow.

So Guys & Gals, had a 'Pre' MOT (up in November) inspection today and all good save a replacement slam panel had to be ordered!
I went to my local Suzuki dealer and asked them to look for any issues regarding towing (I would have looked myself but didn't fancy crawling underneath while she's parked on the road ! The smashing guy, Paul, let me come in while he checked everything.. I told him I had a slight 'shimmy' so he checked the kingpins and said they were solid. I mentioned fitting a steering damper and he agreed it wouldn't make things worse (He is a qualified MOT inspector) so I dropped lucky there didn't I?
So has anyone any recommendations for a specific kit?
Cheers
Gaz

If you can fabricate yourself
(it's an easy job)
And will cost you half the price of a kit
