My tray back tdi 4 link Jimny build

My build so far.. Tray back. Vw tdi motor with land rover fuel pump. Land rover axles. 4 link suspension fully caged some photos from. Before cab removed and axles fitted and links

To be honest it's all swings and round abouts I am on with doing front axle now have lower arms in but got tops to do had to cut gear box cross brace out and move forward 4 inch allows links to clear prop shaft and weld flat plate from that back to re mount gear box 4mm wall box I have been using I was going to do the back but no reason to solid only rust on is from me cleaning to weld will all get cleaned back bare then painted etc ..went 4 link as nothing stopping travel no Pan hard rod to limit you etc etc shall jack up again once front finished see what travel I have post pics soon

hello mate no sorry i have not managed to get much done since moving house . i am just on with finishing the new garage so it should be getting moved here with me soon then i can get on with it . spent a lot of time and money mind while doing little building ordering parts . shall update with some when i get some more done .

all though before the move i managed to get the front end on mocked and also the cab painted and the front axle mounted up .. just have to add a peace of plate in the cross member to allow prop to clear .

Obviously there must be a reason I like the colour chosen......it looks great!

may have had a change of plans with the build . so just curious to see if anybody would be interested in buying vw engine and fly wheel . the fly wheel is a jimny one been machined to fit the vw crank . if so give me a privet mail with your offer . can delver if local to frizington area . if not collection only

well i am one step closer to starting to get some done now its moved to new home just tools to bring and then i should be able to get on with it !

So what engine are you going to use if the love affair with the disease-L is over?

I watch with interest as I'm going to trayback my Jimny this year...not to be a pay and play monster though.
