The jimny is wholly an off road toy.. Compared to my usual car the jimny is actually awful . Heavy clutch and gearchange, gutless, uneconomical and expensive to tax and insure.
Its double the road tax, nearly double the insurance ?? (no idea how that works) and horrible to drive.
For a 17 yr old 4x4 its in great condition and works as it should, drives smoothly and no death wobble even at 70 plus mph... for offroad use its superb, has the most amazing and fast heater and air con on the planet and is very reliable though.
My road car is nearly 3 times more economical, goes like a bat out of hell and is a pleasure to drive so I guess its a bit harsh trying to compare a 17 yr old budget car against a premium brand..
The jimny has two other "friends" in the form of a enduro bike and honda sports quad ;)

Ah toys, things to keep the dark nights at bay.... I have simply accumulated these over the many years I have been driving and tend not to sell.
In no particular order:-
2009 Jimny JLX, not the other car, our every day drive.
The toys:-
1986 Plums and Custard 2CV6 Dolly.
1960 Land Rover Series 2 SWB 2.25 Petrol.
1996 Yamaha TRX 850
2012 Triumph Tiger 800 Abs
1961 BSA Bantam D1
1987 Yamaha TZR 250 YPVS
1980 Honda C90 Cub
Toyota MR2 MK2, can remember the year
The Cub and the TZR are undergoing light restoration to hold off the rust, so not just a Jimny thing!

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

My Jimny went a while ago in favour of a Junior which recently went in favour of a V6 Pajero which I alternate with my 2.5TD Pajero. I use my Suzuki Celerio for longer generally fine weather trips - it's a pocket rocket, 60+ mpg and zero road fund. I have to give Suzuki 10/10 for this. When the weather is naff it's Pajero time. The trouble is the roads round here are not town roads and the Celerio being primarily a town car is a bit out of its depth but copes admirably.

Love it. Funny how cars used to be small back in the mid to late nineteen hundreds and now we are going smaller again - or ginormous. lol I actually cannot believe how my early motors were so tiny cos they never seemed to be.
