GV1600 roof wiring

Quick question, are the front and central courtesy lights wired together via the centre of the roof, I want to fit a roof mounted spotlight for shooting and need the cut a 1" circular hole in the roof, trying to avoid removing the headlining if I can.

You need to cut the hole to mount the light I am assuming, so how will you attach the lock nut for the spot light without removing the head liner?

Are you looking at boring through the liner and want to ensure you don't cut the courtesy lights wires?
