Right a bit long winded but bear with me ,
I went to my local dealers with a oil leak from the gearbox
My jimny has a good few mods 3" lift 2" bodylift 235-75-15 tyres
various other bits and peices but their main concern was that i had
H/D transfer box mounts.
The dealers were trying to fob me off saying that the mounts had caused the problem
but they couldnt have as they were exactly the same as the standard ones which incidently
WILL break when you take it off road as they have the same consistency as cheese, sorry
i'm digressing,They would not listen to me.
Then they tried to tell me that the body lift had changed the gearbox to transferbox prop angle
which is utter rubbish as all the drive train is fastened to the chassis not the body.
So after much discussion the dealer took some photo's and sent them to suzuki who gave
the correct parameter's and tolerences and guess what they were the same as mine so all
the work was done but the dealers really try to worm their way out of it.
Don't let them fob you off is the lesson

thanks for the advice. so would it just be performance mods that void warranties?
where did you get the mounts from and how much are they?

I'm not too sure as i am not messing with my engine at all
i was gonna get a snorkle but i try my hardest to avoid deep water

I think my mount's came from KAP Suzuki they were around £75 i think
which i think is a bit expensive but hey ho
I think Rob does them at the armoury give him a buzz see what he can do any better
