Dogmobile conversion.
I made up an aluminiumbar-stock profile that matches the inside of the Jimny interior.

Bottom rail bolts into the four boltholes the flip-up seatpans normally bolt into.
Top of the frame braces back to the rear ceiling handgrip boltholes.

Security mesh was trimmed to match the profile and tig welded in.

Base is 18mm ply cut to tightly match the floor profile.
Hinged in the middle to still allow access to the toolbay, front half of the floor is secured by the same seat-pan bolting points the mesh-frame is secured by.
Topped with astro-turf.

Whole thing is rock solid by the time it is attached and bolted in.

Trusty old faithful red-dog in the front.
Sneaky eaty wee Miss who has all the self restraint of Yogi-Bear in the back.

Mine being van spec came with the suzuki factory bulkhead mesh arrangement. I found the impingement on my driving position too much so took it out. It also allows me to put longer things through into the passenger foot area. To keep my spaniel in check I've got a selection of lashing rings all over the back to clip his harness on.

Had no idea such things existed heh!
Down in NZ here, we got the hardshell Gen3, a few flatdeck Gen3's and that was about the only 2 Gen3 models I've seen.
The flatdeck ute versions are VERY rare at that.

Not seen a soft-top or stock van-config' or anything as exotic as that in NZ.

Being on the ass-end of the planet if we want something we've got to make it ourselves most of the time.

Ah yes my gen3 came with seats in the back which I removed when I first got her as she was my farm truck. Now she's retired she's back to a 4 seat configuration. My gen4 which replaced her for farm work is the factory van.
