Hello.

I'd posted on the main page a while ago that I'd picked up another Jimny, my second and the first in the UK. There's far more choice of good ones here in the UK than back in Ireland.

Was aiming for something in the 3-4k budget but most of them seemed to be shopping carts with lots of rot and no TLC underneath. Spotted this one whilst looking at a cheaper one and it was very clean. I had to up the budget by another 1000 but I was more than happy as it's practically rot free as far as I can tell. And I've been underneath with a inspection lamp and poking tool to confirm.

Anyway, it's a clean late 2011 model (registered in December) and it has reasonable miles for the age. It's the Sz4 with the leather and air con.

I've already fitted a lightbar to the front which was interesting figuring out the funny way Suzuki earths their headlights but all is well. It throws out an awful amount of light. Almost too much... (link for those interested it's the 18" lightbar.

I've changed the Diff oils as there was a bit of transmission whine which I'm sure is normal but it's probably not being changed as of yet.

Couple of things on the to do list:

All terrain tyres; Yokohoma Geolanders are on the shopping list.
Whilst the rust is at bay, I'm going to get the underneath treated.
Replace the weedy Denso motocycle horn with something a bit more loud. Manchester is pretty hectic driving round so I think something more loud and obnoxious. I've ordered some hella supertones.

Some pics

Looks nice (great colour). Is there a reason for the off sett 'S'? Just curious.

Very nice Jimny there, i have my 'S' offset one space to the left (nearside), on my other car which is quite small and seems to get over looked by the Chelsea tractors i have Stebel horns....i don't get over looked when they sound off.

It makes the car look wider and therefore less comedy. Or it's gangsta. Which is why I did mine.

I'd spotted the badge being offset on Facebook. I quite like the look of it, I might keep it like that now.

And I also took it down a Byway this evening... It was a bit bumpy but not a problem with it. I suspect it's better done with friends as you'd have someone to pull you out if you got in a bit of bother but I just spotted it when I was bringing the Gravel bike home and had to give it a try... Saddleworth is a decent spot
