So I thought I would start a thread to catalogue the various silly things I’ve done/plan to do with my Jimny. It’s a late start as I’ve already done the majority of the things I planned (as well as some I didn’t). It started out as a bog standard 05 Jimny with 117k on it in February this year, I bought it to use as a daily driver as my other car was using fuel faster than I could afford to put it in! I also bought it as something to learn to wrench on which has been the most fun part about owning it.
So far it has;
2 inch lift - xshock Dakar
8j modular 0 offset steel wheels with 235/75/15 AT tyres
Adjustable panhards
Raptor4x4 roof rack
PIAA headlight bulbs
Hella rallye 500 roof lights
Pioneer Bluetooth stereo with a cup holder drawer (best mod yet)
Rear seat delete and I made a nice oak floor with some laminate and a 9mm ply base for the dog.
Leather seats from a 2016 Jimny that I picked up off eBay
Rear windows tinted
Steering damper kit from zook bob
There’s probably more I’ve forgotten, I’ll post some pics off my phone below. Next order of business is to fit the m16 sat in my garage!

Sat on the drive like she came out the factory on the day I picked her up.

Picture where you can see the lift, wheels and other accoutrements
Forgot that I also fitted the snorkel last weekend.

And it’s all to ferry this little one about. At least that’s what I tell my fiancée...

A few interior pics of the seats and stereo I fitted. Might try and do some beginner wiring and fit myself some new door speakers and an amp, maybe a sub too.

Looking for a nice clean and straight LHD Jimny..... Not any more.
Got one that seems to have been magnatized and driven through the "Big Jimny Bits" parts stores too quickly so it missed a few items.

Looks like a healthy obsession to me.

Try telling that to my other half. Where I see snorkels, rock sliders and lift kits she sees wedding dresses, flowers and table decorations! But that’s not til 2020...

Looks good, how is the Xshock kit? Is it the Sport one you got? I've been looking at them myself, it seems like a well thought out kit for not a huge amount of cash.

Kit seems good. Was cheapest 2” lift by some margin and came with caster correction. I’m not the best person to ask in terms of off road performance, but it lifts the car, is a little stiffer than stock, not too much roll driving on the road.
Yeah I think it is the “sports” kit, I picked mine up off eBay for 250 ish. If you go for it make sure you specify it’s for a petrol Jimny, as I didn’t and had to courier the wrong kit back to Poland at my own expense before they’d send the correct one.
Only issue I’ve got with it after 3 or so weeks is that it needs realigning now it’s all settled in. But that may just be cos it wa fitted poorly!
