My dec-2005 Jimny (130kkm and rising)

After a long trip from Lithuania, it has arrived few months ago in Romania...

Additionally, I had to go through full service schedule, engine oil, gearbox, transfer case, diffs oil replacement, full vacuum circuit, solenoids, hubs, kingpins and last but not least, rust treatment, all DIY:

Started to build a rook rack (for some extra space if/when needed) - work in progress to find a way to install it without removing the rails:


Mounting a Thule tow bar in progress - don't have any pics yet

Meanwhile, enjoying the late autumn

The strongest and best way to mount that basket is to remove the rails and bolt it directly to the roof. It won't let you carry any more load up there but it will be a lot better than relying on the existing brittle plastic feet.
