So I picked up a cheap Jimbo in Northumberland which was languishing in a field for a year. After it promptly broke down on the drive home I had it recovered the following day lol
I knew there were a couple of holes in the boot floor but I decided to poke it with a stick a little AN....
so a custom rear floor was welded in and the rear corners rebuilt too.
All new brakes and full engine and box and difs fluids change along with transmission mount (engine ones to follow) and it went through it's not no bother :)

Lift kit ordered and I have some shocks to fit and I am now debating what muddies to fit as it's my daily driver too until I buy something else (not in a rush as it's a canny drive)
Took it out today for some laning with my pals and had 5 jimnys out around the local area

Thanks, I really like the colour too but I was crying with laughter yesterday when out landing and my pal scotty turned up in his newly acquired identical jimny.... we stopped for a talk through some routes and scotty hopped into his car and set off then stamped on the brakes and stuck his head out the window and shouted "who stole my chocolate buttons off the seat" he was wounded when we pointed out that was MY car he had taken LOL

Replaced the worn rear shocks today and am sourcing a crank sensor as mine is starting to flutter sometimes when doing motorway speeds for s length of time. Lift kit this week too and I really need to make a decision on tyres as I'm budgeting only 250 quid for muddies and could do with some help from you fine folk

Looks very nice, I like your front bumper being blue as well - mine is light grey. Might respray it at some point.

2"lift kit fitted and extended procomp front shocks fitted and it's a really smooth drive now!! New crank sensor fitted at the same time so will see if that cures that random fluttering of power and flashing immob light and engine light.
QUESTION...... anyone running kingpin mud tyres? Was looking at the 195 R15 ones for 200 notes on eBay and would like advice on them as it's my daily driver

I had a set of kingpin trekkers on my old 90 pickup. Different sizes and a few years ago but they were appallingly awful, and then you tried to drive on wet tarmacadam, I am honestly lucky to be alive. Keep looking.

I have them on mine at the minute and don't find them to bad
after a few sideways moments you get used to how much you can push them
road noise is like a very big swarm of bees
they have started to crack in between tread blocks passed mot
had them on 3years
hopefully getting my new bigger boots on before Christmas ;)
