Yakuza could you post some more images of your trailer Im looking for ideas as I have a chassis and body left over from the Rebuild and was thinking of making a Camper/Trailer.Built for fun, used for stuff, but now also a camper. Been waterproofed, put in a camper roof hatch for ventilation, and some insulation.
I will not put too much effort in it, as it is a bit short still, but room for little me diagonally.
Thanks
Jon

I can see I haven't put any pictures of it lately but maybe now tonight is as good a time as ever..
Using the chassi from the car is not a good idea. Makes it so heavy that you will have to get brakes. and getting that registered with the brakes and all was not a task I wanted to get into. More on the link above

So I got my CB antenna mounted tonight. well not completely finished, still some mounting to do.
I was trying different spots for it when my eyes cought the spot for the wiper arm for the wrong side driving people. I guess you over there also has a free spot but on the other side. We can agree that it is on the passenger side
Was a hole in the body the beneath the plastic cover, and a place to make a cut out in the plastic.
I think it came out ok visually and it is not the worst place for the radio waves either.

Good idea, spotting the blanking plug for the antenna, keeps the coax nice and short.

If I had the crimping tool and a new plug, yes then the coax could be shortened
I lead the wire into the engine compartment and back into the cab through the firewall. Did not want to make a hole in the well and make a leak.
Lost the nut for the antenna base down in there and could here it falling down deep inside. Just loosened the inner wheel well plastic fender and shook the car until the nut came out on the ground. Lucky me.

Most coax plugs are available as solder and clamp instead of a crimp, but it depends on which connector it is? Anyway at 27MHz an extra couple of meters of coax isn’t going to make much difference and I am sure you can find somewhere to oil the excess.
