I'm new to this forum but it looks like an invaluable resource B) I got myself this 05 plate Jimny with a view to transporting my paddleboard, MTB and dog on many new adventures in North Wales where we live.

It has the notorious 'Death Wobble' which I was disappointed to discover driving it home from the dealers :( so I thought I'd start with at the beginning by replacing all wheels and tyres with some Tuff Torque steel wheels and Cooper Discoverer ATS. I noticed the dealer had put 27psi in all around so I was hoping that new tyres with the correct pressures in would solve it but no such luck!
I've also fitted a roof rack bought from a company in Italy.

Yeah there is 6 months actually, I just assumed it wouldn't cover me for something like that, do you think it would? I'll give them a bell in the morning and see what they say.

If you ever buy from a dealer, put £100 of the car on your credit card. You then get legal protection under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. If the car costs you £5000, and you only pay £100 on your credit card, the full amount is still protected.

Think I'll do exactly that. I've had a look at the warranty cover, it lists this as covered:-

Drive System (front/rear)
Crown wheel and pinion, half shafts, bearings, planet gears, bevel gears, rear external drive shafts, constant velocity joints, 4 wheel drive units.
Excluding: rubber gaiters.

so I reckon its worth pursuing, I rang them earlier and the girl said I can take it to any garage but they only cover up-to £45 an hour labour rate any difference I'd have to cover.

Don't know what any of the local garages round here charge as we've only lived here for 5 months, I'd imagine they'd be within that limit though, I'll ring round in the morning and see whats what.
